100 Days of Summer– June 1- September 4

a full schedule of fun, inexpensive events and activities for teens in the Wyoming area over their long summer vacation 

Battle of the Bands– showcasing several Wyoming school bands in a friendly competition of judging their  best performances throughout the summer evenings at Lamar Park  (group apps and entry fees)  

3 on 3 Basketball—a several week tournament through the summer with  teens who love basketball Location to be determined.  (Team Entry fee)   

Extreme Church Makeover—a Wyoming rehab project involving community teens throughout the summer  (video tape of the transformation will occur)  

Video Game Tourney—a variety of video game tournaments will be held throughout the summer at  a local school.  (Team Entry fee)  

Steps to Success Day Camp– over 1 weeks in June a high school student can earn 1 college transferable credits for select classes at a very reduced cost at Grace Bible College in Wyoming.

The Seven Tour
a 50 minute national multi-media program with large video screens,
20+ member drama and music team with a great speaker.

Reggie Dabbs is an international speaker who is the all-time good guy – he says because of his choices.  He plays an awesome sax and he connects with students from the first minute he speaks. His great story is a teacher in his mom's life. Reggie's mom was age 17 living in a chicken coup in Louisiana, pregnant with Reggie and scared . She remembered a teacher told her, "if you ever need anything, call me" and Reggie's mom did. The teacher traveled from Tennessee, took the girl into her home. She helped her through the delivery, served as a foster parent and then adopted Reggie.

Current Schedule

Kelvin Jackson served as facilitator for the 8 week program. The 8th session was December 17 when the students enjoyed a pizza party, gift bags that included Freedom Writers Diary, journal, “Prisoner of The American Dream”, Leland Band CD, $10 Rivertown Cinema  Gift Card and a completion certificate.

The group shared many ways “Real Talk” has helped them and want to continue meeting in another format, possibility in an after school setting.

ACTION Wyoming is planning other sites and programs in local Wyoming schools that will support and encourage positive lifestyle choices.
